Jarrod Hammes

Bosco Lujan, President

Bosco Lujan Valladolid is a Vice President at Morgan Stanley. He has over 15 years of business experience working in Mexico, New York and California. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Mingei International Museum. Bosco holds a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he was on the Board of the Business Leadership Program. He earned an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2012.

Haytham Allos

Haytham Allos

Haytham Allos is a visionary and experienced executive with over 20 years of experience. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer for Realstir.com specializing in providing a disruptive platform for the Real Estate industry. As a respected technology and business leader, Haytham is highly regarded as a key resource, critical thinker and out-of-the-box problem solver by senior executive customers including Denso Corporation, Pfizer Inc., Hewlett-Packard Company, General Motors Corporation and various government agencies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from University of California San Diego, and earned an MBA in 2006 from the Rady School of Management as part of the inaugural FlexWeekend cohort and first class to matriculate at Rady.

Cindy Atwell

Cindy Atwell

Cindy Atwell is a business development professional with 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and over 9 years in a business development role. Cindy is currently a Director of Business Development and Strategy at Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. Prior to Halozyme, Cindy worked at Impax Laboratories in business development and commercial roles. Before attending the inaugural Full-Time 2007 MBA program at the Rady School, Cindy conducted scientific research at two San Diego start-up biotechnology companies. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the Rady School of Management.

Amy Bernal

Amy Bernal

Amy Bernal (Gunderson) is a Program Manager in Business Operations for the Consumer Tax Group at Intuit, where she manages the Product Development Group's areas of investment, as well as compliance, communications, training, and talent pipeline. Prior to Intuit, she worked in Philanthropy, opening the West Health Incubator, and oversaw the investment portfolio for senior wellness initiatives with nonprofit partners whose work lowered the cost of health care, and promoted independence for older adults in San Diego County. She currently serves as the global chair of the Intuit Women's Network, Co-Chair of the Technology Special Interest Group for Athena San Diego, member of the Balboa Park Committee for the City of San Diego, Board of Trustees for Meals on Wheels Greater San Diego, and Grants Co-Chair for Women Give San Diego. Amy holds a B.A. in International Studies, where she served as the Associated Student Body Vice President. She earned an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2014.

Cody Becker

Cody Becker

Cody Becker is the CEO of VEG, LLC, a San Diego based company that enables people to grow veggies at home by making it simple. Prior to VEG, LLC, he was submariner in the US Navy. He joined the Navy directly after high school in 2003. Following his Basic Training at Great Lakes Recruit Training Command he graduated from Nuclear Machinist Mate “A” School and Navy Nuclear Power School located at Navy Nuclear Power Training Command Charleston, South Carolina. He then followed on to complete his training at the Nuclear Power Training Unit in Ballston Spa, New York. In 2006 he transferred from the Nuclear Power Training Unit to USS LOS ANGELES (SSN 688). While onboard he completed two Western Pacific Deployments until 2010 when he received orders to the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center where he would work in the Distance Support Operations Center until 2014. From 2010 to 2014 he also attended Thomas Edison State University and earned his Bachelors of Science in Applied Science with emphasis in Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology. Cody earned his MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2016.

Jeff Benabio

Jeff Benabio

Jeff Benabio is Physician Director of Healthcare Transformation at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego, CA. In addition to being a board-certified practicing dermatologist, he develops strategies and programs that use innovation, design, and technology to move medicine into a modern age. He has helped create and sustain one of the largest telehealth programs in the country at KP San Diego and is a sought after speaker, lecturing on topics including telemedicine, health innovation, healthcare design, and social networking for health systems. He serves on several boards, including the External Advisory Board for the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media, and writes a monthly column on healthcare and technology entitled “Digital Doctor” that is published in various medical news magazines. He received his doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2003, completed his residency at UC Irvine in 2007, and earned his MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2015.

Amanda Esquivel

Amanda Esquivel

Amanda Esquivel is a program management professional with 17 years of broad functional experience including Strategy Formulation & Analytical Decision Making, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Program Management, Business Process Improvement/Change Management, and Consulting. Amanda currently works for an industry leader in unmanned aircraft systems manufacturing and integration, where she collaborates with a wide array of stakeholders to execute complex programs and integrate business solutions. She has a passion for strategically solving business problems and discovering efficiencies by deriving insights from analytical information, and has served various advisory roles for startup organizations, entrepreneurs, students, and fellow professionals. Amanda earned a B.S. in Global Business Management from CSU San Marcos and an MBA in 2010 from the Rady School of Management with the inaugural FlexEvening cohort.

Jarrod is the Sr. Product Manager at ecoATM, a division of Outerwall (Redbox / Coinstar). Prior to his current role, he was VP of Marketing for IP Video Networks, a San Diego company that provides software and hardware to the IPTV/Cable and Broadcast industry of Europe, Asia and the U.S. He spent 13 years in that industry, helping public and private companies develop technology to deliver video content to wider markets with greater quality. While a Rady School student, he provided business case analysis for Motorola during a summer internship. Jarrod earned an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2008.

Jamie Homrig

Jamie Homrig

Jamie Homrig is currently working to start his own business in the consumer products industry. He recently served as Director of Business Development at CODE Fluidics, and before that was Director of Sales for Julian Hard Cider where he worked closely with the executive team to develop and implement sales strategies, manage distributors and expand sales territories. Previously, Jamie spent nearly a decade working in the biotech industry as a Research Scientist. In that role, he worked as a member of a global team to develop medical devices for the physician’s office and over-the-counter markets. Jamie holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and earned an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2011.

Josh Kuss

Josh Kuss

Joshua Kuss has 14 years of experience in a variety of marketing, operations, and business strategy roles in the consumer tech and biotech spaces. In his current role as the Director of Marketing Operations at Illumina, he leads a team responsible for marketing analytics, forecasting, planning, and lifecycle management. Prior to joining the company, Josh held various product-centric operations roles at Sony and Hewlett-Packard; and served as a strategy consultant for a number of San Diego tech startups. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of San Diego, and earned an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2008.

Steven Longley

Steven Longley

Steven brings a strong track record in building technology solutions, managing teams and growing shareholder value in early stage growth companies. Steven’s primary focus in his career has been on helping financial firms and corporations drive profitability and improve revenue productivity. Steven is currently the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Financial Recovery Technologies, a privately held organization focused on maximizing returns from securities litigation recoveries, where he is charged with building strategic partnerships that drive FRT’s revenue growth. Today Financial Recovery Technologies services over 600 financial institutions representing over $20 Trillion in assets. Steven is also the principal investor and co-founder of Longley Capital which is focused on applying strategic advisory consulting and early stage investment capital with a singular focus on driving shareholder value. Prior to FRT, Longley was Global Head of Business Development and Strategy for the Reuters editorial division of Thomson Reuters, responsible for driving third party partner contributions to the Reuters Insider platform, a multimedia news and collaboration platform for the financial markets. Steven began his career in sales with CCBN, an Inc. 500 company, where he was a top performing sales executive and contributed to a successful exit with a sale to Thomson Financial. Steven received a BA in Economics from Trinity College of Hartford, CT and was a graduate of Rady’s Weekend MBA program in 2009.

Keegan McNamara

Keegan McNamara

Keegan McNamara is a real estate entrepreneur who specializes in urban infill, smart growth developments. His development and investment company, McNamara Ventures, focuses on small-scale developments in San Diego County. He currently has three multi-family development projects in various stages of entitlement and construction. Keegan also owns a residential property management company, MV Properties, that manages apartments, homes, and condos. Keegan oversees the day-to-day strategy and operations of MV Properties. In addition, he advises select clients and investors on real estate investment strategies – as an advisor and co-investor. Keegan is a licensed California real estate broker, and is active in the Urban Land Institute. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and English from Occidental College. Keegan received an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2011, with a focus on Finance.

Hiroki “Rocky” Mitsuhashi

Hiroki “Rocky” Mitsuhashi

Rocky Mitsuhashi is a General Manager at ERT, a US based global data and technology company that minimizes uncertainty and risk in clinical trials, oversees its Japan and APAC business. Over 20 years, Rocky has helped more than 50 business start-ups, business creation and expansion across the industry with recent focus on digital healthcare and drug R&D sector, as a founder, co-founder, CEO, Regional/General Manager, consultant and investor. After helping Dream Incubator, one of the first professional incubators in Japan spun out from the Boston Consulting Group, grow its business to be listed in Tokyo Stock Exchange, Rocky earned his MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2008 where he has transformed his domain from IT to life-science and global business. Rocky resides in Tokyo and currently leads the Rady Alumni Tokyo Chapter.

Ashley Van Zeeland

Ashley Van Zeeland

Ashley Van Zeeland is Co-founder and CEO of Cypher Genomics, a San Diego-based company revolutionizing human health through genome interpretation. Today, she is Chief Technology Officer at Human Longevity, Inc., which acquired Cypher Genomics to build the world's largest and most comprehensive database of genomic, phenotypic and clinical data. Prior to founding Cypher Genomics, she served as Director, Strategic Partnerships at the Scripps Translational Science Institute where she focused on novel public-private partnerships to accelerate translational research. She received a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from the Rady School of Management in 2012.

Lauren Vollon

Lauren Vollon

Lauren is a Compliance and Client Relations Associate at Fortis Advisors, a post-M&A advisory firm. Being a member of the Fortis Operations & Compliance Group, he manages the distribution of funds pursuant to the terms of Fortis’ engagement, including escrow, working capital adjustment and milestone/earnout distributions. Lauren received a Bachelor in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing from Leuven University College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from KU Leuven. He was part of the inaugural Master of Finance cohort and graduated in 2015 from the Rady School of Management. During his period as a Rady Student, he performed research for BlackRock on blending active and passive investment portfolios.
